About me

I am Ashikur Rahman. I do the SEO work myself.

Person doing the work

The short story

From reading law to reading Search Console.

I trained in law first: an LLB, then an LLM in International Law. What stayed with me is a habit, not a career: read the actual rule before forming an opinion, and build every conclusion on evidence someone else can check.

I started doing SEO in 2017. For most of the years since, the job was getting pages indexed and ranked on Google: fixing crawl problems, untangling migrations, speeding up WordPress sites and helping local businesses onto the map.

The job has grown. Buyers now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI for recommendations, and a business that cannot be read, identified or quoted gets left out of the answer. So my work now covers both: rankings on Google, and being named in AI answers.

I also run criticnest.com, where I publish search news and reviews of SEO and AI visibility tools. This site, seogeoaeo.si, is where I take on hands-on work, at prices published on the pricing page.

Real problems, no names

A few problems I have worked on.

Client work stays confidential, so these are described without names. In each one, the answer came from checking the evidence directly, not from trusting a tool's summary.

Ranked for its name, never for its services

A home-services company had spent years with agencies. The homepage ranked; the service pages never did. Their addresses had changed six times across three platform moves, and the homepage was the only URL that had survived them all. That split was the whole answer.

Invisible to several AI assistants

An orthodontic practice's firewall closed the connection on GPTBot, ClaudeBot and three other AI crawlers, even for robots.txt. The robots file itself looked fine, so tools that only read it missed the problem entirely.

A 101-page site moved off WordPress

My own review site, criticnest.com, moved from WordPress to Lovable. Every one of its 101 sitemap URLs was carried over and checked page by page after the switch.

45 pages Google knew about but would not crawl

A medical directory sat at Discovered, currently not indexed. Nothing was technically broken: the site had almost no links pointing to it, so Google saw little reason to crawl. What it needs is links and demand, not code changes.

How I work

Six habits behind every project.

Source first

Google's documentation, each AI vendor's crawler policy and the review rules come before any tool score or trend.

Find the cause

A symptom in a report is where the work starts, not where it ends. Every fix is aimed at the page, template or setting behind it.

Do the work

I make the changes myself in WordPress, Lovable or your code, or write tickets your developer can act on without a meeting.

Show the proof

Every engagement ends with a recheck: crawl, Search Console, rank grid or AI answers, whichever fits the work.

Stay inside the rules

Methods search engines and AI platforms allow, so results hold. No bought links, fake reviews or review gating.

Leave you in control

Your accounts, files and code stay yours, access is removable at any time, and the price is agreed in writing first.

Education

LLB, then an LLM in International Law. Not an SEO credential, but the reason every recommendation comes with its source.

Why a .si domain?

Bought in the 2026 "super intelligence" rush, knowing Google treats .si as Slovenian. The reasoning and the trade-off.

About me, asked

Questions people ask before hiring me.

Something else you want to know? Ask it in the form below; I answer personally.

Do you really work alone?

Yes. Every audit, fix and report on this site is done by me. There is no account manager, junior or outsourced writer, which is also why the prices can be fixed and published.

What does a law degree have to do with SEO?

More than you would think. Search and AI visibility run on rules: Google's documentation, crawler policies, review policies and consumer law on fake reviews. Legal training is practice in reading those rules closely and building an argument on them, which is exactly what a review dispute or a technical diagnosis needs.

What kind of businesses do you work with?

Mostly small and mid-sized businesses: local services, law and medical practices, publishers and online businesses whose site should be bringing in work. If your site is the main way customers find you, you are in the right place.

Can I see examples of your work?

criticnest.com is my own site and shows how I build and write. The articles on this site show how I reason. Client work stays confidential unless a client agrees otherwise, so the examples above are described without names.

Do you use AI tools?

Yes, for speed on research, crawling and code. Never to invent facts: every claim on this site and in a report is checked against a source or a test I ran myself.

How do we start?

Run the free checker or send your domain with the form below. I look at the site before I reply, and tell you whether you need a paid audit at all.

Say hello

Tell me about your site. You will hear back from me, not a team.

Describe what is going wrong, or what you want the site to do. I check it before replying, usually within one working day.
